Stephen Ministry of 2BC 2017

What Is Stephen Ministry?

Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2, NRSV).

Stephen Ministry is the one-to-one lay caring ministry that takes place in congregations, such as ours, that use the Stephen Series system. Stephen Ministry congregations equip and empower lay caregivers—called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.

Our congregation's Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our church and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives. If you are a caring and compassionate person, consider becoming a Stephen Minister. "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few" (Luke 10:2), and we need you for the labor of Stephen Ministry.
