Thailand Update One

January 9-11, 2017

Our itinerary included flights from Kansas City to Los Angeles, from LA to Guangzhou, China, and from Guangzhou to Chiang Mai, Thailand. Including layovers, our trip to Chiang Mai took over 32 hours. At the Chiang Mai Airport, we were met by our friend and the Director of UHDP, Tui, and our driver. After a nice lunch near the airport, we headed for UHDP. Along the way, we enjoyed coffee at a roadside coffee house, and arrived at the project around dusk. We had a nice dinner before getting some much-needed sleep. On Thursday (January 12) we will do an orientation of UHDP and then go to the hardware store in the city of Fang to get supplies for our projects.
