IN DEPTH
Mid-Week Adult Bible Study
Wednesdays 6:30–7:15 p.m. Social Room.
Special Guest: Robin Sandbothe will lead Wednesday night InDepth through February 15.
Baptists see themselves as Bible readers. The Holy Scriptures are typically seen as a word from God for our lives—for some more literally than others. Baptists are learning some new ways to interact with that Word these days. We are reading the Bible still, but we are learning that the Bible is reading us as well. For the next four weeks, we’ll be exploring some of the “new” ways to interact with the Bible with an intentionality that is transformative.Robin has a Master of Divinity and is the Director of Seminary Relations for Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas. She says, “God has called me to ministry in which I enable others to be spiritually formed. I am excited to see individuals/ communities grow spiritually and desire to come alongside them as I too am being formed by God’s spirit.”
Formation . 1 Middle School Small Group
Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. Student Ministry Room 609
Middle School students will have the opportunity for both fun games and meaningful conversation with the focus on how the ever-weird period known as Middle School can serve a purpose in making us who God wants us to be.
Discussion Groups . 2 . 3 Jr. & Sr. High Small Group
Wednesdays 6:30 p.m.
Jr. High: 218 N. Leonard / Sr. High: 429 Wilson St.
At these Discussion Groups, the students are led into an open and honest conversation about a wide range of topics including everything from the Bible to sexuality, to honesty, to politics, to theology, to interpersonal relationships to Batman. Leaders seek to merely guide the students through the process of getting to know themselves, one another, and God.
Children’s Mission Groups: Mission Friends, Girls in Action, Boys in Action
