ABOUT THE TEAM
Mark 14:22–25 and John 3:5
The Ordinance Team is
responsible for two ordinances that our church observes – Communion and
Baptism. We gather, prepare, and serve the elements that are used for
Communion. Communion is served about once a month and for special
services such as the Service for Healing and Hope, Maundy Thursday,
Christmas Eve, and World Communion Day. The ministry team lets us know
how they would like to have Communion served and we prepare it
accordingly.
This team also assists those who are
going to be baptized. We meet with the ministerial staff before the
worship service and then help the person shortly before and after the
baptism. A team member is there to assist each new Christian out of the
baptistery and to a changing room. We also gather the towels and robes
for laundering.
